VIA, MIA, BMA, DICCI & Labour Deptt Nagpur holds Session on “Implementation of Social Security Schemes – PMJJ, PF, ESIC, PMSBY”
Joint Coordination Committee comprising of Vidarbha Industries Association, MIDC Industries Association, Butibori Manufacturers’ Association, DICCI along with Addl Commissioner of Labour Nagpur jointly conducted a session on “Implementation of Social Security Schemes – PMJJ, PF, ESIC, PMSBY” at VIA Auditorium, Nagpur.
Shri Ashok Kumar Singh, IAS, Director (FI), Department of Financial Services, Ministry of Finance, GoI, New Delhi, was the Chief Guest, he said the purpose of organising this event to create mass awareness about the Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (Pmsby – Scheme for Accidental Death Insurance), is available for people age group of 18 to 70 years with having bank account with minimum premium of Rs.12 per annum. He said the Risk Coverage for accidental death and full disability is Rs.2 Lakh and for partial disability is Rs.1 Lakh. A person has to opt for the scheme every year. He/she can also prefer to give a long-term option of continuing in which case his account will be auto-debited every year by the bank. He also informed about Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY – Scheme 2 – For Life Insurance Cover). He said this scheme is available for people of age group between 18 to 50 year and having a bank account. People who join the scheme before completing 50 years can, however, continue to have the risk of life cover up to the age of 55 years subject to payment of premium with minimum premium of Rs.330 per annum. The premium will be auto-debited in one instalment. The Risk Coverage is Rs.2 Lakh in case of death for any reason.
Shri Anil Lakaswar, Addl Commissioner of Labour, Nagpur informed the participants about Social Security Schemes – PMJJ, PF, ESIC, PMSBY available for the benefits of workers of the factories / establishment in general and MSME in particular. He said organizations can avail the benefits under Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana and Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana, which was launched by the Government to provide social security to the common people at an affordable cost.
Officials from Government Departments also conducted sessions viz. Shri Shirish Muthal, Branch Manager of ESIC informed about the ESIC Schemes. Shri Devendra Sontakke, Asstt Provident Fund Commissioner of EPFO informed about EPFO Services & Benefits. Shri Sanjay Thool, Superintendent of GST Deptt gave presentation on GST Registration. Presentation on Food Industry/FSSAI Registration and licensing by Industrial Official. Shri Suhas Pandre, Bank of India gave presentation on PMJDY / PMJJBY / PMSBY.
Workers’ representatives, Trade Union Office Bearers, employees, industrialists, HR/IR Professionals, Women Entrepreneurs were attended the program on large scale.
Earlier, Shri Raju Gulhane, Asstt Commissioner, Labour Department gave opening remarks. Shri Anil Lakaswar, Capt C M Randhir, President – MIA and Shri Nitin Lonkar, President – BMA welcomed Shri Ashok Kumar Singh with floral bouquets. Government Officials were welcomed by Ms Anita Rao, Convener of VIA Entrepreneurship Forum with floral bouquets. Ms Neelam Bowade, Convener of VIA HRD Forum conducted the proceedings and Shri Anil Lakaswar proposed a formal vote of thanks.
