VIA | MIA | BMA hold Awareness program on GLOBAL INDUSTRIAL SHOWCASE 2018 (GIS-2018)


Joint Action Committee comprising of Vidarbha Industries Association (VIA), MIDC Industries Association, Nagpur (MIA) & Butibori Manufacturers’ Association (BMA) organised an awareness program on “Global Industrial Showcase 2018” (GIS-2018) on 21st November 2017 at VIA.

Joint Director of Industries, Nagpur region, Mr A P Dharmadhikar made opening remarks and informed about the Directorate of Industries role in promoting this GIS. He said this event is supported by Government of Maharashtra, All India Association of Industries, Institute for Design of Electrical Measuring Instruments (MSME Technology Centre, Mumbai and SME Chamber of India. He appealed to members that GIS 2018 is surely to open new business avenues for companies and individuals in the industry by helping them pitch to prospective investors, conducting business meetings, interacting with serious buyers, developing new industry contacts, knowing about latest technological innovations, identifying industry trends, or launching a new product or brand. Technical presentation was conducted by Mr Bhaskar Dastidar, Director – GIS, Mumbai informed about the Global Industrial Showcase 2018 will be held in January 2018 at Bombay Exhibition & Convention Centre, Goregaon East, Mumbai. He said an unique opportunity for industrial Vendors and Suppliers to establish direct contact with key decision makers in the field of manufacturing and service industries to showcase and demonstrate their potential. New business, new opportunities a brand new platform for industries to interface.  He further said in the Technical & Industrial seminars an opportunity for technology leaders to introduce new technologies and systems to upgrade to the new industrial era of automation and productivity to enhance knowledge. GIS will be preparing smes for the next era of manufacturing, an unique opportunity for automation and connected manufacturing software and solution providers to establish introduce emerging trends of ‘intelligent’ manufacturing to Indian Industries to climb up the value chain through superior processes, quality and standards.

He said Exhibitor Categories viz. Industrial Electronics Instrumentation & Controls, Machinery Tools & Automation, Roofing / Structurals, Safety & Fire Fighting Equipments, Steel Manufacturers, Material Handling; Fitting Industry, Others Including i.e.  Automobile Ancilliaries, Agricultural Implements, Lighting & Fixtures, Nuclear Energy ancilliaries, Specialized Machineries Manufacturers, Solar Energy Systems And Equipment, Coal And Mineral Mining Ancilliaries, Processing & Packaging Machinery & Equipment will be participating.

This 3-day expo, is the Asia’s largest exclusive industrial show, spread over an area of more than 45,000 Sq.mts. The total number of exhibitors is expected to cross 350 in GIS-2018. GIS-2018 expects a visitor footfall of over 50,000. GIS 2018 is comprehensive showcase of products and solutions covering the complete gamut of Manufacturing and Industrial Engineering Space. GIS-2018 would also be a great platform for promoting engineering products / services, as we are expecting a lot of international participants and visitors due to our tie-ups with Bilateral Chambers, Embassies and various Trade Associations etc. Large Country pavilions from China, Sri Lanka, Czech, Germany etc. is the highlight of GIS-2018.
