VIA LEW & MGIRI Workshop FOR WOMEN ENTREPRENEURS HELD
Lady Entrepreneur’s Wing of Vidarbha Industries Association organised 3 days Workshop on Bio Processing, Herbal Products, Textile (Batik) and various Govt. Schemes for start up in association with Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Rural Industrialization [MGIRI] & National Small Industries Corporation [ NSIC] for the benefit of the members and entrepreneurs at VIA Hall recently.
The three days event received overwhelming response.
The workshop was inaugurated by Dr. P. B Kale, Director, Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Rural Industrialization [MGIRI], Wardha along with LEW Chairperson Vandana S Sharma in the presence of LEW’s Past Presidents Mrs. Prafullata Rode, Mrs. Madhubala Singh, Mrs. Chitra Parate, Mrs. Y. Ramani, Mrs. Anjali Gupta, IPP Mrs Anita Rao. Addressing the gathering he said that the vision of MGIRI is to support the process of Rural Industrialization in the country for sustainable village economy self sufficient in employment and amenities and to provide S&T inputs to make the rural products and services globally competitive. Complimenting LEW member, he said that with women entrepreneurs coming forward to take up entrepreneurship is a good sign for the country.
In her Presidential address Ms Vandana S Sharma spoke out the various programmes initiated by LEW for its members and this workshop is one of them. With MGIRI providing know how for many projects she expected that the members will definitely gain a lot.
Dr Karm Rai Yadav, Deputy Director Bio Processing and Herbal Division of MGIRI spoke about Bio Processing and Herbal Division of MGIRI. while Dr. Aprajita Vardhan, Sr. Scientific officer, Bio-Processing & Herbal Div. MGIRI, and Mr Jaikishore A Chhangani gave practical demonstration of various food products, herbal drugs, herbal cosmetics, feed supplements etc. while
On the second day of the workshop Mr. H G Sinnur Principal Scientific Officer, Khadi & Textile, Division MGIRI, which works as a hub for Khadi, said that it works skill augmentation of khadi artisans and demonstrated various technologies developed by them
On the third day Mr. R M Tekam Senior Branch Manager NSIC gave detailed information on various schemes and services rendered by NSIC and appealed to LEW members to apply for Udyog Adhar Number through its website .take full advantage of the schemes. Later on all the participants shared their experience and gave feedback about the workshop.
Program was conducted by Mrs. Rita Lanjewar, Vice Chairperson, LEW & Manisha Bawankar, Vice Chairperson,LEW Vote of thanks was proposed by Secretary Mrs. Shachi Mallick.
