Transporter should get enroll under e Way Bill : Shri Suresh Rayalu
VIA Taxation and Corporate Law Forum organized an interactive session with the GST officers on “E-Way Bill (New Procedure Under GST) today at VIA.
Shri S J Rayalu, Sr Superintendent, GST, CGST & Central Excise: Nagpur – I, said transporters feel that once they get enrolled under e way bill, they will be liable to file returns and comply with GST provisions. He advised that transporters should get enrolled on GST E-Way Bill and are not required to take registration. He further added that it will be in the interest of transporter as the movement of his vehicle will not be disturbed at all. Shri S J Raylu has also elaborated that Part A is to be generated in the event of movement of goods within 50 Kms if value exceeds 50,000/-. The relaxation is only from filling of Part B. He updated about the recent changes in e way bill rules.
Shri Prashant Warkar, Sr Superintendent, GST CGST & Central Excise: Nagpur – I explained the rules of E-Way Bill in details. He covered the practical issues raised during generation of e-way bill. He added that when e-way bill to be generated and goods which are exempted from generation of e-way bill. He has covered more that 40 queries with regard to generation of e way bill. He explained in detail the procedure of generation of e way bill by exporter, importer and SEZ units. He cautioned that registered person should keep record of cancelled e Way bills along with reasons for cancellation.
Earlier, Shri Atul Pande, President – VIA welcomed Shri S J Rayalu with floral bouquet and Shri Shelendra Manawat, EC Member – VIA welcomed Shri Prashant Warkar with floral bouquet. Shri Atul Pande in his welcome address said VIA Taxation Forum had organised series of programs on GST not only in Nagpur but in Districts like Gondia, Akola, Amravati, Chandrapur and Bhandara and efforts taken to give clarity to the industrial fraternity and in creating awareness for the due compliance of the GST provisions. He further said that with applicability of E-Way Bill in Maharashtra, industry may face problem initially, but e-way bill would be another mile stone in the GST implementation. It will be user-friendly and day to day working would be easy. He expressed gratitude to department for taking pains to explain personally on the subject and also sharing time.
