Speaker: Eminent panelists
Marketing Forum of Vidarbha Industries Association organized a panel discussion on the topic ‘Why Women Entrepreneurs fail to market and brand their business’ at VIA Hall recently. Renowned lady entrepreneurs from the city, .Y.Ramani, Karishma Anand, Rina Sinha and Divya Ahuja were the panelists for the panel discussion.
Setting tone, Rina Sinha, Director, NIIT said that it is extremely important to have both content and a good wrapper. A perfect combination is must for scaling your business. She also pointed that the men should be educated to help their female partners in overcoming obstacles which comes their way while setting up their business. She also added that it is extremely important for Lady entrepreneurs to be tech savvy to succeed in their business.
Karishma Anand, owner, Legato Splash suggested that one can make use of social media to reach out to their target audience in a cost effective manner. She mentioned that innovative ways of marketing can be used to avoid a heavy pinch on the pocket.
Divya Ahuja, owner, Johara Jewels pointed that that Women are good at marketing and branding. She went to exaggerate by stating the example of how every mother can boast of good qualities of her child even if they might not be there. She further shared how she markets her products on social media in an extremely cost effective manner.
Ramani, owner, Artefakt, said that it is very important to have an uniqueness in one’s product. She pointed out that if your product is innovative and unique half the marketing work is already done by positive word of mouth. She suggested that in order to succeed, lady entrepreneurs should learn to market their product and develop their personality.
At the outset, Shilpa Agrawal, Chairperson, VIA Marketing forum gave the welcome address. The panelists were welcomed with floral compliments by Shilpa Agrawal. The panel discussion was moderated by Akash Agrawal, Chairperson,VIA ED forum.
