MHA Order Dt. 29.4.2020 on movement of migrant workers

 Dear VIA Members,
 
            We bring to your notice that Ministry of Home Affairs, Govt of India has issued an Order No.40-3/2020-DM-I (A) dated 29th April 2020 wherein given permission for movement of migrate workers, pilgrims, tourists, students and other persons (copy enclosed for your kind perusal).

             As per revised guidelines for strict implementation by all States/UTs Authorities.

 Movement of persons : Due to lockdown, migrate workers are stranded/stuck at different places, they would be allowed to move as under :

#  All States/UTs should designate nodal authorities and develop standard protocols for receiving and sending such stranded persons. The nodal authorities shall also register the stranded/stuck workers within their States / UTs.

#  In case a group of stranded workers wish to move between one State/UT to another State/UT, the sending and receiving States may consult each other and mutually agree to the movement by road.

#  The moving workers would be screened and no symptoms of illness/disease would be allowed to proceed.

#  Sanitized buses shall be used for movement of group of workers with social distancing norms.

#  On arrival, workers would be assessed by the local health authorities and kept in home quarantine or requires keeping in institutional quarantine with periodic health check-ups.

Members who wish to bring back their workers from other States / UTs may contact Collector Office (local nodal authority) / VIA for seeking necessary permission for their migrated workers with all safety norms.
