The 9-Month Neu-Leadership Development Series Training project organized by HRD Forum of Vidarbha Industries Association concluded on Friday 16th October 2015, with a Graduation ceremony for all successful participants of the program.
The program was focused upon enhancing and optimizing the available Human Capital for an organization by making its people – LeadershipEfficient and Leadership Effective. Mr. Sandeep Phanse, Director, Escalader Innovation Consulting, Mumbai along with his team provided the training attended by 30 participants from various industries of the region. The Neu-Leadership Development series is designed to help SMEs to create better performing leaders /professionals influencing their teams through structured developmental approach.
The program included 16 modules and the training was delivered once a month, for eight consecutive months. The modules covered very important aspects of business traits, such as Building performance Oriented Teams, Improving Negotiation skills, Creativity in Problem solving, Leadership Development, Better decision making, Communicating Effectively for Business Results, Managing Time Effectively, Creating Customer Ecstasy, Leadership through motivation , Stress management, Leadership communication, Priority goal setting, Managing Conflicts, Powerful delegation, Managing Change Strategically, Strategic Business Modeling. Etc. Each module was of about 180 minutes. The series included pre and post analysis exercises in each module, which gave a lot of practical insights into the teachings of each module.
Unique aspect of this training program was that, each monthly training session was followed by a mid-month review session to review the learning and implementation from the training concepts of the preceding classes. Instructors from Mumbai would be present for each of these sessions and the participants shared their implementations of the learnings from the previous sessions & challenges faced by them in doing so. Benefits from such implementations were also shared by various participants through which it was seen that many of the organizations saw direct financial savings/gains from use of nuggets taught in the program, some of the them running into Crores of Rupees!
At the concluding ‘graduation session’, each participant presented their views on the program and the changes it had brought about in them, their own work and their influence on their work-place/colleagues. It was seen that most of the participants were very happy with the takeaways from this program and heartily thanked VIA for taking this initiative of bringing such a wonderful & enriching program to Vidarbha. That too at a very affordable ‘cost’ (to be read as ‘investment’, from the learnings of this program). They applauded the training content, exercises and largely the instructor himself, Mr. Sandeep Phanse.
Speaking at the concluding function VIA President, Shri. Atul Pande said that this was the first time that such an yearlong training programme was organized by VIA and the member units supported the initiative. The results are here to be seen. He went on to add that such training programmes will now be conducted in district places also as a part of our “Reach out to Districts” programme. Mr. Sandeep Phanse the lead faculty said that it was the first time Escalader conducted such a programme outside MUMBAI and complimented VIA for the excellent arrangements and the wonderful response from the industries. He endorsed the view of Shri. Atul Pande of holding the programme at district levels.
Ashit Sinha, Vice President VIA, summed up the program, while Shri. Girish Deodhar, Chairman HRD Forum conducted the proceedings and proposed a vote of thanks. Certificate of Completion was awarded to all the participants at the function.
