A panel of successful entrepreneurs was unanimous in their opinion that “entrepreneurs from Vidarbha can make it big on a national scale if they think big, believe in themselves and follow good means to achieve it” while sharing their experience in a panel discussion on “Scaling up your business – Issues & Strategies“ organized by VIA Economic & Finance Forum.. Shri Vijay Kashikar while participating in the discussion said that team work, continuous R&D and division of responsibilities among the owners is very important. Hails from the agriculture family of Nagpur, his company is major player on a national scale in seed business. He also said that creating a pool of good manpower is key to any business. Shri Kirit Joshi said that the entrepreneur should be clear about his principles and should not compromise them even during times of crisis. In a fast changing technological changes, short term review of the policies are more important to survive. Shri Rakesh Khator said that in service sector it is very important to have a proper manpower to back up the product. He said that once you develop a product and render quality service the scaling up happens quite naturally. He said that a person should be very honest in dealing with his clients and consider the business as an opportunity of serving the society. Shri Atul Pande, President of the VIA delivered his welcome address and said that learning from the successful people helps the local entrepreneur to develop their vision and business. Shri O S Bagdia Chairman, Economic and Finance Forum also spoke on the occasion. Shri Samir Bakre, Convener of Economic and Finance Forum was the moderator of the panel discussion. Shri O S Bagdia, informed next time the Forum would organize and involve other sectors of panelists. Programme was appreciated by all.
